may

Is it just me or are the months literally flying by? Where did May go?
I imagine a lot of you feel this way, but I can't believe June is here.
Here's a recap of what May brung
May was full of events.

end of finals for Sam, he isn't taking summer school which means this is the first semester that neither one of us won't be in school. We are looking forward to weekend getaways, early morning boating, and a lot of fun in the sun. But most of all no homework.

graduation. even though I technically graduated in December I celebrated and walked in May. I am so happy that I did, it helped me to realize what a great accomplishment it is to finish college. Thanks to my family for the support and love throughout my undergraduate degree. Until walking I wasn't sure of what was next but graduation made me eager for more. I'm currently exploring my options of getting a masters degree.

HAWAII! We have been counting down the days for our Hawaii trip. Now that it is over we aren't sure what to do. We had a great time in Maui with my family. When it snowed four days after being home we longed to go back of course.

home improvements. We came home from vacation to a big mess in our back room. A leak in the water pipe meant small flooding in our back room. Once the floor and walls dried out we took advantage of the opportunity. We painted and "remodeled". I am really excited about the extra space we created.

getting crafty. May was my month of finishing craft projects. About a month ago some friends came over to do some crafts and I finally got around to finishing them, which was a miracle. I took cheap frames and covered them with material and decorated letters for above our bed(nothing too fancy, amateur I know). My favorite project, I don't have a picture of, was a really cute head band I gave to my sister in law, Anna. I made three rosettes out of zippers and attached them to a headband. I'm in the process of making on for myself.

Parties we ended the month full of parties. I threw a bridal shower for my long time friend, Amie. Had a Cook family reunion and learned more about the wonderful people that sacrificed so much for us to be where we are today. Also celebrated my Grandma's birthday at a family street dance (which was one of the best family parties I have ever attended, we danced the night away) and of course BBQ'd and opened the pool for the first time.
