I AM A TERRIBLE BLOGGER

So much has happened since my last post, end of school, Christmas, New Years, Sugar Bowl, Winter break, and now school restarting.  Obviously I can't tell every detail of all these events but I want to share the highlights and some of the pictures.

Sam and I both survived the end of school and can't believe that it has started again.  This semester Sam is taking a lighter load and investigating the business world by taking Fundamentals of Business, which he is surprisingly interested in already.  (he's already going to the library to do the readings, on the first week of school!).   I am taking multiple ESS classes, one of which I get to practice my group fitness leadership skills and have to teach a fitness class.  Hopefully I have a little bit of my mom in me, and will be able to shake it as good as she did back in the day.

This year we were a little concerned that Santa Claus wouldn't visit us.  We had a couple things working against us.  Neither one of us have changed our addresses on our drivers licenses, how would Santa find us?.  Also our landlords have bricked our fireplace off, how would Santa get in? So we were pleasantly surprised to wake up and find that Santa did remember us and found us.  We were also pleasantly surprised that Sam survived all of the Christmas season without throwing up!.
We enjoyed spending the Christmas time at many family parties.  We are also very excited for Anna, Sam's sister who got engaged to Dave Peterson (not my dad, but I am very jealous that she gets to take on Peterson for her last name) on Christmas day, what a great present!

The day after New Years Eve we flew out to N'Orleans with most of my family for the SUGAR BOWL.  Boy does Sugar taste sweet.  Of course our favorite memory from the trip will be the sweet show put on my our Utes, but there were a few other highlights.

For those of you who haven't had the opportunity of attending a Utah sporting event with my mom you are missing out! I was sitting behind her and tried to capture her enthusiasm.

We also enjoyed the weather in the 70's walking around the French Quarters.

We had a very fun and busy Christmas break, we topped it off by both getting sick for the last week and stayed home from work in bed!.  Now we are feeling better and excited for the upcoming semester, birthdays, and winter activities.

CHRISTMAS IS IN THE AIR

The recent snow fall has really brought the Christmas spirit around our house.  I am so glad it didn't snow too much when we were trudging around campus.
This morning we had the great opportunity to go to 'music and the spoken word' on temple square.  This week was extra special because once the broadcast was over there was a mini performance highlighting the program that was sold out all weekend.  The music, bells, orchestra, and dancers were all wonderful but my favorite part was the special guest.  Brian Stokes Mitchell was the guest singer this year and was absolutely awesome.  He sang the best songs, 'the friendliest beasts' was one of our favorite.  The Christmas music definitely got us excited for all of the upcoming festivities.  If you are looking for some good Christmas music or maybe even someone new to listen to he's worth checking out.

thank goodness for moments of fresh air

We have survived another week and are counting down the days until we are completely done with school all together.  Before I am finished I have 5 papers, a project, and 4 finals. . . . December 19th I will be a whole new woman!  Sam on the other hand has 4 finals, approaching rather quickly, and they are much harder than mine, who seriously takes general chemistry and organic chemistry back to back.  He's been working hard to get a jump start on studying to his back to back finals on December 15 and 16.  But this post wasn't supposed to be about finals.  It was supposed to be about everything but finals...
So on Saturday morning, I was searching the internet for a particular game to give the families I nanny.  I was searching on Target online and it'll tell you what store whatever you want is available in.  It said it was available at Fort Union, I called to check and Sam told me to see if they had Wii Fits too.  And they actually did!  This is the one thing we really wanted to get, and hadn't been able to find.  We launched out of bed and got ready to make it to Target in about 40 minutes and secured our very own wii fit.  We are so excited to open it up on Christmas day, just in time to burn off all the holiday goodies.  But we are trying to forget that we bought one so unwrapping it will be a surprise.. please help by not talking about it.  thanks.
After having such a successful shopping morning we decided to buy our very own Christmas tree.  We had a very few options of what kind of tree would actually fit in our tiny little living room.  We were searching for a tall and skinny tree and found one that is just perfect!.

sam's so strong!!!

So come on over and check out our fully decorated tree and hang out.... after Dec. 19th!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

T-BIRD to HONDA to DODGE MAGNUM to ???

Last Monday I agreed to help a mom out who desperately needed a sitter to watch her kids Wednesday to Saturday. She has good kids and it's easy money, so I agreed to help her on such notice. That Wednesday we were just settling down after feeding everyone dinner when the neighbor knocked on the door, telling us that our car had just got hit. Luckily the driver had pulled over and stopped. Turns out he was another neighbor driving with only a permit, looked down to turn on his lights and BAM hit us.

Today we took our car to get inspected, it will take 4,991 dollars to fix our car. We now have the option to either total our car and take the money, or have them fix it. Being new car owners we aren't sure what to do but, hope to figure it out soon.

Also today we noticed that we have driven 8 cars, for at least a week, since we got married three months ago. Cadillac, T-bird convertible, Honda, Acura, Mini, Porsche, Escalade, and now the Dodge Magnum.

If you have any input on what we should do, please help us!!
